🐝 Not your average Monday…

Got a call from the about a swarm of bees at the softball fields, so we spent some time doing a little bee wrangling. Swarms look dramatic, but they’re usually just a colony on the move looking for a new home. When a colony gets too big for their current location (they’re living 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 the concrete light post!) it splits to find new space, naturally correcting the overcrowding.

With a little patience, and a bee box, we were able to safely gather up the swarm from the bleachers.

We’ll continue working with to safely rehome the remaining bees.

Just another day in the life of a beekeeper — saving bees and keeping our community buzzing. 💛🐝
