Here's a little recap of our big day down at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue.
A few things didn't go how we hoped, but here's where we landed amongst the 400+ teams..

Out of a possible 180 points
Chicken 50th - 176.0
Ribs 340th - 160.56
Pork 251st - 167.39
Brisket 51st - 176.40
These scores landed us at an overall place of 186nd.

Thank you to everyone who supports us all year long! With all that being said we did being back a limited amount of competition meat that is available. If you are interested in any ribs, brisket, or pork, let us know!

As we are winding down and getting ready for the big day tomorrow at the American Royal World Series of Barbecue we just wanted to give you a quick update on things so far. Thursday evening we cooked ribeye steaks for the Steak Cookoff Association contest where we tied for 4th place but lost a couple tiebreakers and landed 6th out of 54 teams. Tomorrow we will go head to head against over 400 teams in the big contest. Good luck to everyone cooking!

UPDATE: We have 1 package of ribs (7 bones) left. $15.

We've got some leftover competition meat after this past weekend being that it was a double! We have pulled pork, ribs, chicken thighs, and sliced wagyu brisket. Contact us if you're interested in purchasing any. It is vacuum packed and in the freezer ready to go!

The Gateway Drum Smokers are dialed in and the meat is on here at the Smokin' Saddles BBQ Competition day 2! Yesterday we picked up an 8th place brisket call. Let's hope today is better yet!

Update time!
Two weeks ago we took a quick trip to a contest in Papillion. We turned out 8th place ribs and our chicken tied for 1st!

This weekend we took off for a little longer trip down to Dodge City, KS for our first double in a while. Wish us luck in surviving the heat and two good days of cooking!
