It was a hot one yesterday, but we had a great time cooking our first contest! This contest included a fun Kids Q competition with S'mores! Braxtyn tried his hand at some gourmet s'mores (his first time participating in a comp) that landed him a 3rd place call! To say he was excited is an understatement!

As for our ribs..
Rib B was not it for us! We landed in 16th out of 26 teams. Congratulations to our friends from Well Sauced BBQ on the 1st place call and Score One Smokin' with a 3rd place call!
Rib A was much better. With a score of 137 we earned the 1st place call!

These 1st place wins earned us all a spot in the Rib Cookoff Association World Finals in Oklahoma next April!

Let see if we remember how to do this competition thing. We are set up in Hickman for the first annual contest with 26 teams from 9 different states!
