🌴 I GOT MY COCOCO BOARDS!!! 😍🍪
What should’ve been a simple hour-long drive to pick up a set of co****le boards somehow turned into a full-blown CoCoCo adventure. 🤣🫨
I left home knowing roughly where I was going, but my phone was only at 15%. Normally, that could last me hours. I didn’t have my usual charger, but thankfully I grabbed another one before leaving.
Problem solved, right?
NOPE… About 20 minutes into the drive, my phone had already dropped 8%. 😳🫣
At that rate, there was NO WAY it was surviving the trip, so I shut it completely off and decided I’d save whatever battery I had left for when I got closer.
Eventually I started worrying I might miss a turn, so I turned it back on.
I figured worst case scenario, maybe I’d have 4%.
ONLY 2%. 🫣🫨😳
AND THE CHARGER WASN’T CHARGING IT! It seemed like it was sucking the power OUT of it not put it in. 😵💫😱😱
Now I’m over an hour from home, trying to find someone I’ve never met, and my navigation is basically seconds away from disappearing. 😵💫
So naturally…I started praying. 🙏
Then Angels in the Outfield popped into my head- watched it the other day with my mom- and I had another thought:
“Maybe I should stop swearing so much…I don’t think the angels like it.” 😇🤣 along the drive I was cursing like a sailor 🤬
So I stopped.😓😶🌫️
And I kid you not…
The charger that had seemingly been sucking the life OUT of my phone suddenly started charging it.
2%…4%…5%…
Within seconds. 🫨😱
About 15 minutes from my destination, I checked again:
18%.
THANK GOD. 😇🙏
And after all that chaos, the trip was absolutely worth it!
When I arrived, Jeff was right there to welcome me with a smile. 😊 He was incredibly kind, honest and professional. He immediately showed me the boards and even pointed out the little imperfections himself.
A few minor scratches?
Nothing CoCoCo can’t handle. 😏🎨🌴
And these boards are even COOLER than I realized!
The bags store inside them, the boards Velcro together, AND there’s a handle so the entire set can be carried as one piece. Best of all, Jeff gave me a great deal because I had driven so far to get them. 🥹
The whole experience reminded me all over again why I loved living in Iowa and why I still miss it.
I’m an I-Wegian through and through! 😂❤️
Naturally, I told Jeff why I wanted these particular boards so badly:
They’re becoming part of Cody’s Cookie Confections! 🍪🌴
They already look like they washed ashore straight from Cookie Cove. 🌊😎
While we were talking, I mentioned that people have compared the flavor of my cookies to Kringla.
Turns out…
JEFF LOVES KRINGLA. 😂🍪
Of course, I had literally just given away the LAST business card in my wallet to someone at Fareway who bought a bunch of my cookies. 🤦♂️🤣
Business lesson learned:
Start carrying a dozen business cards EVERYWHERE. 😂
But we still got to talk about CoCoCo, the cookies, and maybe even a Christmas order sometime down the road. 🎄🍪
And now comes my favorite part…
These tropical boards already look like they belong in Cookie Cove, but I’ve got an idea to make them OFFICIALLY CoCoCo. 👀🎨🌴
