Lately….

Lately the days have all sort of melded together. It’s been a blur of cattle, horses, kids, sunshine, and some much needed heavy snow. I wish I had better verbiage for this season we are in. I don’t, it’s just busy. Feel free to drop a title for me to cling to below.

1) Harper “Cow Boss” checking out our equine line up to go move cattle
2) Mom helping sort in OK Corral
3) A welcomed site of heavy wet snow
4) I got to ride the new shiny toy “Dude”
5) David putting in the work with his 4H steer Arthur
6) Calving has begun and looks very different for us this year
7) Me wondering how I’ve reached this level of “all in” bundled up in May
8) Castrating calves that were born early on winter pasture (family affair)
9) David and Gigi scoping out some fishing holes
10) David doing his favorite activity- fishing!
11) Addie qualified for her first Saturday night rodeo on Dude 💕

I am dang lucky to call you my mom. There isn’t much we can’t do together - horse showing from the age of 10 (which hasn’t let up!), doctoring cattle, riding mules to the bottom on the Grand Canyon, fly fishing the rivers we love, working our beloved store, zip lining and numerous other adventures - we’ve done a lot. Thank for and supporting ME through all of it …and for loving my children so fiercely. Wish you a special Mother’s Day, today and everyday. I love you mama.

Mother's Day is TOMORROW!! And trust me, what mom really wants is for YOU to make her dinner 😀. Come on over to the store today and grab some steaks for the grill and a cute gift for mom. We'll even wrap it! Open SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 11-5pm

This is 10 🎉🎂🥳🎈

My confident cowgirl.

We spent the morning on horseback, riding our ranch in search of elk sheds. She led the entire way (which explains my view for most of these photos), steady and sure like she’s been doing it her whole life. She never ceases to amaze me.

To know Harper is to be blessed. She brings pure joy wherever she goes—witty, smart, fun, and a heck of a pig farmer, hockey player, and cowgirl all rolled into one.

And from the very beginning… she’s done life her own way.

The morning she was born, we dropped Addie and David off at school and made the 45-minute drive to the hospital. From my last selfie with Addie at drop-off to holding Harper in my arms—it was just an hour and a half. She nearly made her debut in the car, but we slid in just in time. No doctor yet, just a nurse—and my first words, “Is she okay?!” Her response: “She’s just fine. She’s perfect.”

And she is.

No sheds found today, but we made the kind of memories that matter…and hopefully started a new tradition too.

My confident cowgirl.

We spent the morning on horseback, riding our ranch in search of elk sheds. She led the entire way (which explains my view for most of these photos), steady and sure like she’s been doing it her whole life. She never ceases to amaze me.
