I did it. Late last night I planted the very last dahlia. I don’t have an exact number, but it’s more than I have ever grown. All planted by me.

As I sat in the glow of the spotlight I was overcome with pride. Proud that this farm exists. Proud of my body for physically doing it. And proud of the community around .

Thankful every day! Stay tuned, cause this hill is about to be gorgeous!

Oh and the irony is not lost on me that I’m wearing my sweatshirt. It’s where my flower farming roots began.

We’re back! We didn’t plan to miss a few weeks this season, but after some crop delays from weather we had to make the tough choice. Then Canal Days last weekend added another week. But good news, we are back in the market groove and bringing some extra beauty. Come early, you won’t want to miss out!

Field Focus Friday!

The first dahlia bloom of the season!

Little bit of a cheat as this was a cutting taken from a dahlia tuber and gently cared for with the other seedlings all spring. But I’ll take it! It’ll still be awhile before these beauties fill our bouquets each week.
