We got lambs! Our first lambs were born on June 23rd and what an adventure full of life lessons. We started our herd with 4 dorper ewes: Trampoline, Star, Hay, and a Eunice. The first three were pregnant when we got them. Star was the first to have her single lamb that the kids named Eclipsa. Two days later Hay had her twins. Unfortunate, one of the twins did not make it. It was a sad day on the farm, but a reminder of how precious life is. The kids named her living lamb Meteora. And finally, Trampoline had her twins - a very healthy girl named Andromeda, and the smallest runt you've ever laid eyes on named Blue. Trampoline rejected Blue to focusing her energy on the healthy sister, so we've been bottle feeding him. He has the sweetest personality and is growing rapidly.

It's been a little over a year since we moved into our home. We're slowly molding the property to be our dreams. One of those dreams is to have reliable and fresh food we grow ourselves. This summers addition was 5 fruit trees and the beginning of a berry patch. We have a long row of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries started. Here's to hoping everything takes and a delicious future.
