We teamed up with Onyx & Amber for our second barrel experiment, and it delivered.

7-year MGP pitched into a Magnus Seguin Moreau barrel. The aged wood stripped out the fast-moving sweet compounds and built in exactly what you want from an older whiskey: dark cherry, to***co, leather, and oak layered over that classic MGP sweetness.

A 7-year that drinks like a 9-10+. For 75, it’s hard to beat.

🧪⚡️ DR. MAGNUSSTEIN’S HAS COME TO LIFE ⚡️🧪

What started as a killer Onyx and Amber 7 year MGP bourbon took a turn in our emptied Joseph Magnus barrel… and came out a completely different monster.

This thing transformed.

The extra time in that Magnus barrel darkened the whiskey up beautifully and layered in rich cherry notes, deep oak, to***co, leather, and that darker mature barrel character everybody chases. The result drinks way beyond its age. What went in tasting like a solid 7 year bourbon came out tasting closer to a bold, developed 10-12 year hitter.

Big body. Heavy character. Long finish.
One of those pours that keeps changing in the glass.

If you love older profile bourbons with dense oak, dark fruit, and that dusty old rickhouse vibe, this one is going to speak your language.
