Hello Travis Corder here, 4th generation owner of Corder Farms.
I’m 59 years old, which still feels strange to say out loud.
Inside, I don’t feel all that different than I did at 17. I’m still curious. Still restless. Still trying to understand how things work and how to do them better. The biggest change is perspective, and the face looking back at me carries a few more seasons than it used to.
When I look back on the years behind me, the long days, the wrong turns, the failures that forced rebuilds, and the wins that only came after patience, the number starts to make sense. Farming teaches you early that growth can’t be rushed. You prepare the ground, you listen, you adjust, and then you wait. Over time, those lessons show up everywhere else in life too.
This is where I come to think. To get quiet. To step out of the noise and have the bigger picture come back into focus.
Having a place like this has shaped more decisions than most people realize. It’s where I’ve worked through hard seasons, weighed risk, and figured out what actually matters before moving forward.
As I look ahead, I feel myself being pulled toward something more than just doing the physical work. I want to share what the years have taught me. The mistakes, the mindset shifts, the things I wish I’d understood sooner. Not from a place of having all the answers, but from having walked the road long enough to help others find their footing.
I'm not stepping away from my current role at Corder Farms, I'm just creating a space for people to learn, collaborate and sit at the same table, regardless of title or background.
If this kind of thinking resonates with you, there’s more coming. More conversations, more shared ground, and more space to learn how to build something that lasts. Pull up a chair and stay a while.
