The iced cement block is awesome. I usually put more ice in than today’s batch.

Where did Duke get the food he’s chewing?🧐
Goats are ruminants. They have a unique four-chambered stomach to help digest their high fiber diets.
After food is ingested it softens & breaks down in the first chamber, the rumen.
Then it’s regurgitated & enjoyed a second time. This is called “chewing cud”.
After cud is chewed it goes down again traveling to the other chambers to digest & break down further.
This process is called rumination.
I know, kinda gross. But also kinda cool, right?😆💚

Easy, Fun Experiment with lentils!!💚
•Grab a bag of dry lentils from market
•Cover bottom of non airtight container with lentils (just barely cover bottom..I put too much in and it was a bit crowded)
•Rinse & add water to soak lentils for the night
•Next day rinse out water
•Water & rinse 2x a day
•Let the magic happen✨💚
I’m kinda impatient so I fed mine to the girls on day 7, I could’ve waited a few more days.
Full disclaimer..they didn’t LOVE them, but they are a healthy snack and they did have fun pecking away at it!

The girls don’t always like to share so I always put out a few dishes with their treats to eliminate squabbles. I thought I scored at the dollar store with this blue tray & imagined them enjoying their own personal bowls. Well they all seemed to enjoy taking out every single piece of watermelon (a favorite) & give it a dirt dust before chowing it down. Wonder why they wouldn’t eat it in the bowls?? Going to try again with a different treat next time.
