Bench Creek Ranch is the home of the Gascon breed. Gascon are classified as a medium-sized, hardy suckler cattle breed. They were first born and bred in the Pyrenees Mountains of France in the 16th century. Over the years Gascon adapted well to the harsh climate and rugged conditions of their native home with its extreme range in temperature.
