We interrupt your regularly scheduled puppy content to bring you a big secret we’ve been keeping! 🤰💙

We are gaining two feet, not four paws this time! It was only fair that our first-ever baby, Miss Marshal, got to help make the announcement.

This has been such a struggle to keep under wraps! And if you’ve seen us at the farmers market lately, you probably know I couldn’t keep this one hidden much longer.

We are having a baby boy, and we are so excited!

We are so excited to be part of this year’s Pendleton County Farmers Feast!

This annual farm-to-table dinner is such a special event for our county. The meal is made with food sourced right here from Pendleton County farms and served on a local farm.

Queen City Farm will be providing all of the chicken for the meal, and we may be bringing a few other farm favorites too.

It’s a great night to enjoy good food, support local farmers, and celebrate everything being grown and raised right here in our community and in the great state of Kentucky!

Come support your local farmers! 🌾🍽️

Did you know that chickens (and most if not all birds!) cannot taste spicy foods? They lack the receptors to do so, so chickens actually love peppers!

Come see us at the Pendleton County Farmers Market today!

We’re here with pastured pork, lamb, and chicken, plus freshly made bagels, sandwich bread, and cookies from the one and only Kylea.

Father’s Day is tomorrow, so it’s a great day to grab something good for the grill, stock the freezer, or pick up a little treat to take home.

Meat for Dad. Bread and cookies for everybody.

Come say hi! 👋

The egg layer chickens can’t figure out why the meat chickens get such nice tasty food (the layers get a much lower protein % feed than the meat birds). 😂

Every time we rotate the meat birds the egg layers come running over to see what they left for them!

We officially added a store to our website, so you can now order our farm products online.

You can shop:

Pastured pork
Pastured lamb
Pastured chicken

And soon, we’ll also be adding honey and baked goods, so you can add those to your farm orders too.

We are now offering local delivery, and delivery is free on orders of $200 or more (within an hour of our farm).

A quick note about online ordering:

Because our meat is sold by the pack and pack weights can vary, all online prices are listed by package instead of by exact weight. We’ll do our best to fulfill the size range you select, and we’ll always make sure you are taken care of.

We’re so excited to make it easier for you to stock your freezer with local, pasture-raised food from our farm.

Shop the store on our website and let us know what you think!

It’s been non-stop work getting the farm back in shape since about 5:30AM, but we finally are in a good place for the day!

I didn’t have plans to build a chicken tractor today, but since the storm destroyed our third tractor, I had to prioritize it.

So, here is a new design! All chickens have been moved back out to pasture!

We are feeling very thankful this afternoon. Thank you everyone for the support

The storm last night left a mess behind. We are still not sure if it was a tornado or strong straight-line winds, but it hit hard (100 mph+ winds). Neighbors around us sadly got hit with much, much more damage than us.

The good news is the best news.

Every animal has been found.
Everyone is safe and accounted for.
Every meat chicken, despite their house being torn away and destroyed, is accounted for and doing well.

About 15 large trees have already been cleared off the main drive, which neighbors came together to help us clean up. The backwoods trails are a different story. They are heavily damaged and will take weeks to clean up, but that just means more firewood for us.

But we are okay.
The animals are okay.
The farm is still here.

There is always something to be happy about at the end of every storm and that is we get to continue another day of doing what we love.
