Ruby Tuesday’s Chocolate Barn Cadbury (Chocolate Otter Mini Rex doe) is now building her nest. She is due 6/11/2026. She was bred to Skye Mink’s S&MZ Monkey (Chocolate Silver Marten buck).

New breed is coming to this barn. There will only be a select few of the Mini Rexes that will stay and produce more babies. Time for a new logo for Ruby Tuesday’s Chocolate Barn.

I will be having 2 Sr Mini Rex bucks looking for new homes.

1. Heath Bar is a pedigreed Chocolate Mini Rex buck, that was born 9/6/2025.
2. Blue Slate is a pedigreed Opal Mini Rex buck, that was born 6/11/2025.

Neither one of these bucks are proven.

Ruby Tuesday’s Chocolate Barn Cadbury has failed at delivering her kits. She is officially 1 day late. She has always kindled on her due date. On May 10th, she will be taken out of the birthing cage and put in an empty cage, so I can use the birthing cage for Rowdy 6 Homestead’s Breeze.
On the 10th of May, she will be bred to Monkey, a Chocolate Silver Marten buck.

Got 12 cage trays cleaned before the power went out again. Consumers Energy seriously needs to get their act together. It’s like every month, we lose power, because of trees. If they would just put the wires underground, it’d make life so much easier.

Thursday will be cleaning day for the cage trays, as it will be cooler, and no bugs around. All 24 cage trays will be power washed and rebedded with pine shavings. That’s 10 Mini Rex and 13 Holland Lops. Butterfinger’s cage will be nice and clean for when he gets here, to do some major breeding. It will be 48 degrees on Thursday.

Friday, May 1, 2026, Mars Bar (Chocolate Mini Rex doe) and Sugar (Lynx Mini Rex buck) will be leaving to go to their new home.
I have cut down on my herd of my Mini Rex, to concentrate more on my Holland Lops at B-City Holland Lops.

My Mini Rex herd will consist of these rabbits only:
Comet: Blue Eyed White buck.
Blue Slate: Opal buck.
Monkey: Chocolate Silver Marten buck.
Heath: Chocolate buck.
Raspberry Beret: Blue Otter buck.
Butterfinger: Lilac Otter buck. He will only be visiting, so he can breed to the majority of my does.
Mocha: Chocolate doe.
Pay Day: Lilac doe.
Jolene: Broken Blue Chinchilla doe.
Pipsqueak: Black Silver Marten doe.
Cadbury: Chocolate Otter doe.
