Fruit Infusion Friday!!

WOW have you folks been drinking us dry faster than we imagined. In response, we did a couple very special fruit infusions of our final brew and will be presenting them today, for your enjoyment.

Sweet Dark Cherry Thank You Cake and Raspberry Thank You Cake will both be tapped at 3pm when we open.

Our highest rated beer ever, this dark and decadent Russian Imperial Stout has been our way of saying goodbye and "Thank You" to those who have shown their support in the last week and throughout our tenure in North Fargo.

Fair warning for fruit stout lovers: these extra special, very limited versions of this chocolatey treat will most likely not last through the whole day on Saturday if they even make it through Friday. Available in half pints and pints.

Fair warning for everyone: We may have to close early on Saturday because it looks like we will run out of beer before our scheduled closing time. If you are waiting until Saturday night to come visit us, you may want to change your plans and get here as soon as you can.

What started out as a homebrewing hobby turned into Fargo/Moorhead's fourth brewery(in modern times) when Jan and Randy Wigen decided to open Kilstone in 2015.
Our team has really appreciated their commitment not only to our brewery, but to the industry as a whole. They are passionate beer enthusiasts, community members, and overall great people who have given us so many opportunities to sharpen our skills. By sending us to Craft Brewers Conferences, Great American Beer Festivals, and other great beer events, they were always encouraging us to study our craft and improve in ways we often didn't know we were capable of. Thanks for all the support and encouragement, Randy and Jan!

A bit more than a year and half ago, the Kilstone team welcomed Chris Larson into the fold as our Operations Manager and he instantly became a guiding force for our brews and branding. He’s been the one leading the charge as we navigated an evolving local market. The mind behind our brew schedules and the creation of new brews like our Mind Fudge and Pop Culture sour series, Chris has consistently helped us step outside our comfort zones and challenged us in ways that helped us grow as individuals and as a team. His years of experience in the beverage industry has been an incredible asset and we can’t wait to see where his talents will take him from here. Thanks, Chris for believing in us every step of the way!

Staff Profile:
Paul joined the team shortly after Kilstone opened.
When he wasn't busy trying to incorporate The Office and Parks and Rec quotes and jokes into every conceivable situation at Kilstone, he oversaw the marketing and events.
Outside of Kilstone, Paul has his own consulting company that specializes in Marketing, Business Development, and Event Management.
He looks forward to enjoying some down time with his kiddo, and then spending 1/3 of his time working a contract in Portland, Oregon, which he refers to as "hipster paradise".
He's going to miss the awesome local craft beer scene, the marketing (of course), and making beer with his childhood friends, Brock and Grant.

Sidenote: the photo is TOTALLY a recent photo.

Our brewer brothers, Brock and Grant Wigen, have been the heart and suds of our operations from day one. After taking a course at Echo Brewing in Colorado, Brock (L) and Grant (R) went right to work crafting, tweaking, and perfecting our recipes until they became what they are today. While Brock is often more of the silent type, Grant's personality is boisterous enough to make up for it more often than not. Together, they have made it a real team effort from the beginning but we won't continue to bore you with history (though Grant would gladly delve deep into historical talk). We will just say that we think they make some really tasty brews and they will be here all weekend to serve up the last of the delicious beers that they brewed for your mouth holes.

The outpouring of support within the last few weeks has been amazing.
So much so, that we are running out of beer!
We have decided to remain closed on Wednesday, in the hopes that we have enough beer for our last three nights.
We will be open 3-10pm Thursday and Friday and 1-10 on Saturday and hope to see everyone one last time!
Cheers!

“спасибо торт" (pronounced: Spasibo Tort) translation: "Thank You Cake".

Our final Kilstone brew is a 9.5% abv Russian Imperial Stout that we conditioned on cacao nibs and vanilla beans for a decadent depth of flavor. Available in half pints or pints, this is our way of saying goodbye and especially “Thank You” to the friends, family and fans who have made our brewing experience at 764 34th st N in Fargo a real pleasure.

Tonight we release our Russian Imperial Stout and tomorrow we will have games on all four screens and delicious craft beers! It's a great weekend to stop on by.
