It’s been a HOT minute since I’ve reintroduced myself!
I’m Karina ROSE DeJong—the lady behind all the flour, sugar, and sweet magic.👩🏼🍳
I started rosebud’s sweets and treats back in September 2018 as a little hobby. Seven years later, my heart still skips a beat when someone tries my cupcakes for the first time—or when my tried-and-true fans come back for more. 💕
Either way, I’m so glad you’re here and on this journey with me!
A few fun facts about me:
✨ I’m 30 but totally a kid at heart. My favorite thing is making people laugh! I’m pretty goofy and love throwing in a good pun during everyday conversations.🤪🥸
✨ I bought my first home just over a year ago and moved to Fargo, ND! Being a homeowner has had its challenges, but I’m so grateful for this new independence.🏡
✨ I work as a Marketing Coordinator for Dakota Fence Company—a provider of specialty trade construction, industrial distribution, and related manufacturing services. I truly enjoy being creative and chairing all events for our 500-member Blue Family team! 💙
✨ My middle name is Rose, nickname Rosebud—hence the name! 🌹
✨ I’m very family- and friend-oriented. I love my people! Especially being an auntie—the BEST role ever! (You might even find family names in my cupcake flavors 😉)
✨ I’m a dog mom to TWO pups! Bennie, my cavapoo, and Rosie, my golden retriever! I love them endlessly—they’re my 🌎🐾
✨ I’m an autoimmune disease warrior. I’ve battled lupus, a rare muscle disease, and lung disease since 2018. It once left me using a walker and very immobile, but today I’m doing amazing! Baking is my therapy—it keeps me going through daily challenges. 🫶🏼
✨ My middle name could’ve been coffee. I’m shocked my blood isn’t espresso by now! I used to drink six shots—but these days, my go-to is a quad iced espresso with white chocolate and vanilla cold foam. ☕
✨ My favorite meal? A lobster roll drowned in butter. Plus my dad’s jalapeño poppers. And honestly, I dream about Fargo’s Grand Junction sandwiches at least once a week. If you visit—get the #1 and thank me later. 🤤🤌🏼😘
✨ I love to travel. I’m an adventurous soul—Type A mind with a carefree attitude, just wanting to fill life with spontaneous moments. ✈️
✨ Baking went from a hobby to a side gig! I learned the love of baking at a young age from my grandmas and spending weekend nights in the kitchen with friends. It’s been a dream!
✨ My favorite cupcake? Hard to pick—but my go-to is angel food, almond, or cookie dough! 🧁
