The goats were on their best behavior on this job! They did some work for the Blue Earth Locker. Goats are naturally browsers so they prefer the broadleaf plants over grasses. You can see they stripped just about every leaf they could reach before eating the grass.

The goats did a good job cleaning up this grove. This is year 2 on this property and there was much less growth this year so they are doing their job! You can see that they stripped the bark on some saplings, eventually they will die and leave more room for other plants to grow.

This is why we do what we do! Enjoy some before and afters of what these hungry ladies and gentlemen have been working on. The goats transformed this area in less than a week and are still hungry for more. Will they ever have enough? With every day that goes by they just seem to get better at what they do. Before the goats came out I had a hard time walking through the woods to find a path for the fence but now you can easily walk around the entire area without getting cut up by thorns and covered in itch w**d.
