When you get a beautiful baby pigeon 🥰. It's so fun to see all the different varieties even a single pair can create. This squad is a second generation baby from last years hatches. I'm happy to see the quality hasn't slipped. If I do decide to keep these Hungarian House Pigeons I'll need to add in some new bloodlines. I do love their look. 😊

Not my favorite task but I'll want these cleaned and sanitized in just a few months again. By December I'll be setting chicken eggs again. These are waters and feeders that I've been delaying to clean from this last season 😅. They get cleaned as needed but have since sat 🫣. These arent even all of them 😏.

These two are lovingly called Bean and Sprout. We "think" one of each gender. We plan to keep the little doe if that's what she is. She will one day be her mother's replacement. We currently have airplane ears but they are starting to go down. Apollo's ears are pretty small so hopefully these guys will also have tiny ears.

Chickens are mad because they've been in lockdown and it's muddy. We had an unfortunate event a few nights ago that gave us a lesson. The hay I tossed around helps some but I gave them some grass as a small treat. Sorry, ladies and dudes, I'm not collecting worms for you today 😅. Looking good though despite a small molt happening.

Move over Apollo, theirs a new man in town 😉. Snuggly bucks are seriously the best. We quickly learned that Smash our new Blue Tort Holland lop buck is seriously so sweet. He loves attention much like our long time Tort Buck and fair favorite, Mr. Apollo 🥰. Smash will even give Aurora nose kisses which is adorable and daring 😅. Missed opportunity... I should have brought my two Tri Mini Rex's to the Minnesota state rabbit show this past weekend because they are both looking excellent. I'm excited to breed them this winter. I believe they will be our only Mini Rexs that we will be working on as we dive into Holland lops more.

I did bring 1 Junior Mini Rex and 1 Junior Holland lop, both does. Getting my feet wet with the help of a couple awesome friends. Both does placed high among their classes and got good comments which is what I was in it for. It's nice to win but hearing things the judges like or don't like is hugely beneficial also.
