Tell me you were working with your birds all morning without telling me 😅. My arms are tore up a bit. We are at the point of having to make some impossible cuts. The fair is only a few short weeks away.

I'm not ready to officially list anyone as available but if your looking for White Calls or African geese hit me up. I can pull together a Market goose pen "2 ganders"and a Call pen. I will also have 3 adult White breeding age hens that I will pair up with this seasons hatch drakes by August.

Currently available is 4 White Calls roughly 2 weeks old, one carries the pied gene so its full if black dots that will most likely fade with adult feathers.

Just showing off some of our beautiful Mini Rex we are excited about. I can't get enough of these beautiful colors and that thick dense velvety coat 🥰. Mini Rex are so common and widely bred but for good reason.

Things that either are available or will be available in the upcoming months as we approach fair season and start to sort out some of the keepers. Reach out for more info 🙂.

•Breeding age White Call ducks as well as some from this years grow outs. Most White grow outs won't be available till after our fair end of July.

•A few Butterscotch Calls, mostly drakes.

•I currently have 4 White Call ducklings available. My incubator is loaded with mixed Calls at the moment for upcoming availability.

•All 5 Welsh Harlequins will be available after our fair end of July, 3 hens and 2 drakes.

•A trio of Saddleback Pomeranians will be available after our fair end of July.

•Brown Africans, I currently have 2 grow out Ganders that can find new ponds to protect. They could also be used as a market pen if anyone is looking. By the end of the Summer into Sept I will have a couple young pairs and extra Ganders to fly.

•Lastly, I still have this beautiful Mini Rex Doe, Lilac Otter. Born March 17th on St Patty's day. Shes very sweet but might grow over show weight once fully mature.

Yesterday Adelyn and I joined a friend and her daughter to Waverly Iowa swap meet. I wasn't planning on attending but the stars aligned and last minute I was able to join and go along for the ride. I had a Buff Gander I was planning on purchasing, my friend was going to grab him for me.

However... I'm so thankful I was able to attend because something special happened. The breeder who I was buying my Buff gander from had brought a surprise along and he was able to gift me in person himself with not only the adult Buff African Gander but also a young baby Buff Gander who may or may not grow to look good. I'm so very thankful for breeders who aren't in this for the money but also for the enjoyment of sharing their success, knowledge and generosity especially as we teach the next generation to keep this hobby alive. Shout out to my none farmy and not thrilled to be handy husband. This once briefly an outhouse turned chicken coop has been a labor of love. Gerrod and I drove up North over our Wedding Anniversary May 9th to grab this chicken house off some family land being sold and all things needed to be removed. We decided we could repurpose this shed and so the fun began. Moving a shed, getting it in place and adding tin as well as all other things is NOT something we are good at but we made it happen. By we I mean mostly Gerrod. 😁

Chickens are happy, lastly we will be insulating it by this fall. We need a break from projects now for a bit. It's fair crunch time and hopefully a camping trip or two as well.

This beautiful and sweet girl is seeking a 🏡, Mini Rex Doe. Born March 17th St. Patty's day. She will most likely grow to be over show weight but she'd make a great brood doe or pet. Reach out if you'd like more info. Comes with a pedigree. Sonic our best of breed black otter is the sire and Marshmallow our beautiful Lilac is the Dam.

Just sharing some of the farm while I refresh waters and simply enjoy all these beautiful birds we get to own. Part of my enjoyment with having a farm like this is to simply take the time to appreciate them all and watch them a bit. I dont always have time to do that but it's one of my favorite parts. 😊

My geese are always quality control following me around in their pens my ducks splash like a kid in a bath tub, chickens get treats and the pigeons are just beautiful. I absolutely adore my Hungarian House Pigeons.

Well well well.... looks like I now have 4 broody hens. 😅 I'm currently hatching the last of my pure whites before mixing the flocks together. I stopped collecting eggs last week with only 1 broody hen at the time. I now have 4. I will be checking nests in a week or so. I guess I'm not done... I am curious to see if I get more pied. I think I'll keep some this time as a just for fun pet group. 😁
