Small family owned farm located in Rural Farmer City, IL We provide quailty, well socialized animals for families across the US for pets and show animals. We DO NOT ship our animals and require all purchases to be picked up at the farm or for a delivery fee, they can be delivered locally.

Cherokee Flats is back open! 🎉

We are so happy to be back, but we ask for a little bit of patience as we get things running again. I (Crystal) am still recovering from surgery that I had a month ago. It has been a long, slow road, but I am getting there!

Because of this, we will have limited phone hours for the time being. We are also working hard to get all of our available animals listed on the website as quickly as we can.

At Cherokee Flats, we believe that adding a new member to your family should be a well-thought-out decision, not a holiday surprise. To ensure our animals go to prepared, forever homes, we are implementing our annual Easter break:

🚫 CLOSED TO SALES & PICK-UPS: March 29th – April 19th

We take this stand every year because animals are NOT gifts. Whether it’s a rabbit, a chick, or any other living creature, they require:

✅ A lifetime commitment (8–12 years for rabbits!)

✅ Daily specialized care and vet expenses

✅ A permanent place in your heart and home

"Easter Bunnies" are far too often bought on a whim and abandoned once the holiday magic wears off. Our priority is—and always will be—the health and welfare of our animals.

🧸 Looking for an Easter present? We highly recommend the toy aisle for a plush stuffed animal! It’s just as cute and much better suited for a surprise.
