Played around yesterday taking pictures of these three Ancona Drakes. Not bad for just a cell phone. It helps when you have a quality subject to photograph.
The black feathers have a gorgeous green sheen but it will take a better camera, a little more sun and patience to capture it.

Ancona ducks are an American Heritage breed developed in 1913. They are a hardy, dual-purposes breed known for a lean, desirable meat carcass, reaching butcher weight in 6-8 weeks.

They are also prolific egg layers, laying up to 280 eggs/year in various colors of white, blue, gray, green and speckled. Everyone has its own unique color pattern.

We anticipate shipping to begin mid-February. Orders will be shipped in the order they are received and you will receive an email notification one week prior to your shipping date to give you time to prepare. Be sure and include a current email and phone number with your order.
