! EDI #1 : Electrodeionization (EDI) is an electrical potential driven high purity water treatment technology. Mixed cation exchange and anion exchange resin beads are sandwiched between cation and anion transport membranes. An electrical potential, applied to a cathode at one end of the “stack” and an anode at the other end, draws contaminants across the transport membranes and into waste streams.
