I'm assuming everyone knows that I began Market Gardening in 1999, and worked darned hard at it for a long time. (And LOVED every minute of it!) Sadly, all good things must end sometime, and now is the time for me to admit that I'm simply not physically up to retracing my steps at this point, and so here's another great find that I hope someone else in the business will be glad to see:

I have 600 brand-new half-pint sized green pulp berry boxes available for sale. They are the perfect size for displaying cherry and grape tomatoes, along with any other small produce you offer for sale. When I purchased them, they came to about 23 cents apiece including shipping. I will sell the entire box of 600 for $48 (8 cents apiece). OR, if you don't want all 600, I'll sell them in stacks of 50 for $5 each stack (10 cents apiece). I hope they'll go to a good home!

Continuing the story about clearing out my crafts room: Now I'm working on the farm market collection.
First to go is this amazing market scale, for sale at $30. I bought it new in 2002 and used it for over 10 years with no problems - it passed the weights & measures testing every year that I used it with flying colors! It runs on 6 size D batteries when electricity isn't available and has a sturdy electrical cord for plugging in at home. I priced it so cheaply because I know that six size D batteries will cost an arm and a leg if you want to use the battery function. It has an automatic shut-off to save batteries.
I didn't use the bag dispenser as much, but it sure was handy when I did! The price of the bag dispenser is $5.
Both of these items will be for sale in our farm shop starting Monday, August 31. Honor system shop, open from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm every day.

Hello!
Our garden has performed phenomenally this summer thanks to Leonard’s hard work, and I hope that all those jars of pickles, tomatoes and green beans will help to provide some variety if we end up eating a lot of squirrel during the zombie apocalypse.
When I’m not canning, I’ve been cleaning my craft/workshop, having reluctantly admitted to myself that I’ll never be able to use all of the supplies that I’ve managed to stockpile. So we’re having a clearance sale in our farm shop of dried flowers, seeds, leaves, etc., etc., etc. If you are familiar with my Master Gardener class, “Decorating with Nature” from a symposium a few years ago, you’ll know what kind of supplies I’m talking about. Everything is packaged up in reasonable sizes, and astonishingly reasonable prices, because I would like to know that these things that I have lovingly collected are being used and not just thrown away. So, stop by and see if you can find something to help feed your creative self.
We have also added quite a few new items to the rummage sale section of the shop, which is proving to be surprisingly popular with folks. As always, the shop is open from 8am – 6pm every day, and is operated on the honor system (unless you ring the bell by the house door REALLY LOUDLY in which case we’ll come out and see how we can help you or answer any questions you might have.)
We hope that you’ll stop by when you can, and in the meantime, take good care of yourself.
