IT'S OFFICIAL- Canadian Galloway Association registration news. Atwood Farm has officially received the registration paperwork for 70 of our Registered Belted Galloways and we are expecting another 15-20 more registered from this year's calves.
There are currently over a dozen US Farms which have Belted Galloways registered through the Canadian Galloway Association and I am hearing that there are more considering this for their herds.
Atwood Farm is currently the largest US Belted Galloway farm registered with the CGA and very soon another farm will own this distinction. Their herd is more than double our size. And we are so excited by this.
And we are hearing rumors that another farm larger than us is also considering the move to the CGA. It is great to see that we are not the only farm focused on protecting the purity of the breed.
There are farms with just a few registered with the CGA and these farms are equally as important as the larger ones. We all have one primary goal and that is protecting the Belted Galloway breed.
This fall, Atwood Farm will be creating a page on our website which lists all of those farms that have cattle registered with the Canadian Galloway Association and are aligned with our goal of breed purity. More to come on this.
We are so thankful for all of the support. Belted Galloway farms from ALL over the WORLD have been reaching out with support and congratulating us on our focus of breed purity and our move to the CGA. This support has been very much appreciated and we are so excited.
