Here "The Shepherdess" at Harmony Farms, interviews representative Thomas Massey now appointed Secretary of Agriculture by the Trump administration, on ag food laws. It's a great interview and helpful in gaining broader perspective on what is what with food laws.

This is huge win for regenerative ag! Hopefully Joel Salatin and Thomas Massey will be able to cut out the regulations that are keeping farmers from getting healthy food directly to the people!

Regenerative farmer Joel Salatin announced that Donald Trump’s transition team contacted him to hold a position within the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Why is parasite resistance so important to us? Beyond the obvious benefits of less labor and less cost, the main reasons we are so adamant about parasite resistance is the health of our pastures. Chemical dewormers negatively affect dung beetles, earthworms and other beneficial soil builders. Many farms that use chemical dewormers have no dung beetles present at all. We are working with soils that are depleted and in most cases are in desperate need of rebuilding. We can not afford to hinder that process in any way. A third compelling reason is, it allows us to market our eating lambs as truly chemical free. For us being able to thrive with out chemical dewormers is non-negotiable.

Our pastures are turning brown but our sheep are doing well! We still have some great choices available in both commercial and registered White Dorper rams. We carefully select for parasite resistance, full shedding, and no feet trimming. These young rams have never been dewormed and have seen no grain. 5 month old rams pictured.

I delivered this young Ram to his new home today. March born, full blood twin lamb. He has never been dewormed, has seen no grain, and is fully shedding.

I want to highlight a few of our young rams that are coming available. Most of these are commercial White Dorpers with one registered purebred in the mix. None of them have been dewormed or been fed grain.

We have a limited amount of fresh, raw honey available. Our bees are treatment free which means they have never been treated with chemicals and we have them miles away from conventional farms!
