Doriot Farm We do not presume this is the only Doriot farm in the US. However, it was established by Gustave Doriot, after coming to the US from Switzerland. Purchased 1861.

This area was the Great Black Swamp, which was drained to make farming possible.

We GREATLY appreciate the many new people that have viewed this Doriot Farm page!!! We are very hopeful that Doriot Farm Ministries will have very significant ministries in the future, meeting physical and spiritual needs of many here in NW Ohio, with impact in other parts of the US, and the entire world! Randy Nalett provides a multitude of very interesting and practical hints and suggestions and information that can be of help to anyone!!! :) ... SO, please do continue to follow us here, follow Randy's pages, AND connect as friends on our Roger Doriot NW Ohio page to follow our ministries on the farm, and continuing developments in Papua, Indonesia (west New Guinea) and other parts of Indonesia, where we have worked for over fifty years in jungle ministry to remote tribes, in Bible translation, and in many other ministries!!! The first squash blossoms are coming on, and we're enjoying some of my FAVORITE sandwiches!!! :) ... Suzanne and I sold veggies at the Fayette and Lyons Farmers' Markets Saturday. Really enjoyed meeting lots of new friends! :)

SE corner of "old" barn - built in 1899. Big beams above rotted from roof leak. Excessive weight now pushing foundation out. Needs to be fixed soon, but expensive. Not sure what to do. ... This barn, from 1999, and our bigger barn, built in 1950, would seem to have real historical value. I'd like to see some restoration, and videos made showing how farming was done, and these barns used, in their respective eras. ... Pray for wisdom to decide what to do - and for funding and the right contacts, if there are some things we should do. ... Thanks!

Greetings again from the Doriot farm in NW Ohio (near Fayette)! :) I don't put many posts on here, as we concentrate on my Roger Doriot page, and my new Roger Doriot NW Ohio page. Please connect on the latter, if we aren't officially FB friends yet! :)

Pray for wisdom as we consider what we can do this year in the produce area on the farm. We may be gone to Indonesia (and possibly, Mongolia), for part of the summer. We'd like to keep the business going, as it enables us to meet so many people in the community, but we will have to have some help, mostly volunteers, if we are going to do very much. So, just pray, please! :)

Great time with four of our grandchildren in Vallejo - Dawson, Sierra, Aspen, and Logan Doriot. Daniel and Lindsay took us all to the Oakland Zoo Monday. Suzanne got to ride a scooter; I had to walk all of the three or four miles! But, it was enjoyable for all! :) ... Now we're on the road, heading back to Ohio! (With numerous stops along the way this week!) Two stops and great visits with cousins on each side of the family today! ... Keep praying! :)

Wonderful times at IFGF Seattle, and Logos Presbyterian, two Indonesian churches in Seattle, Sunday. IFGF had over 100 Indonesian college students!!! ... Monday, we enjoyed chatting with a good number of linguistics students at Trinity Western U, in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. We had our passports, so the border crossing was uneventful. :) ... Presently visiting Crossworld friends, some of Roger's relatives, and others, for a few days, then meeting with Papuan college students at Corban U on Thursday. ... Pray for Corban, Trinity Western, IFGF Seattle, and Logos Presbyterian - and for our future follow-up ministries in these places. ... Thanks! :)

GREAT TRIP so far! 3,000 miles in 9 days! THANKS for praying! ... We've had opportunities to update many on our work, encourage various people in difficult circumstances - and have made some great new contacts and did some valuable networking! ... Our Jeep has done very well; I've been able to stay awake; and the Lord has protected us! (We've had one close call, that we are aware of.) ... NOW: Please pray for: 1) presentation on jungle missions, Bible translation, etc, at an Indonesian church in Seattle tomorrow, Sunday Night Football on NBC; 2) sharing with students at Trinity Western University in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on Monday. Trinity has a great linguistics program! 3) sharing with and encouraging about a dozen Indonesian students at Corban University (Christian) in Salem, Oregon, next Thursday.

Lots of WIDE OPEN SPACES, crossing Nebraska and Wyoming. Visited Frontier School of the Bible in Lagrange, WY. Visited with Caleb Ream at Frontier, son of Derek and Candace Ream, former colleagues in Papua, Indonesia. Also, met Anjali Mathias, daughter of some of our supporters. (In picture, with other students at Frontier.) She plans to work in INDONESIA!!! And she has some great ideas about working with college students from interior tribes, to train and motivate them to return to work in their own home areas! A VERY much needed stragegy! ... Spoke tonight to the AWANA kids at Roy Bible Church in Roy, Utah, a supporting church.. ... Tomorrow, to Idaho. Plan to visit MAF headquarters. Then, on to Washington. :)

Lots of WIDE OPEN SPACES, easy driving, across Nebraska and Wyoming! (80 mph speed limit at times.) ... Visited Frontier School of the Bible, in Lagrange, WY. Great start to our 7,000 mile trip over the next 3 1/2 weeks! In Omaha, almost 1/3 of the way to the West Coast! :) ... Yesterday, wonderful visit with the Linguistic Club at Cedarville University! Great school, over 6,000 students! A Linguistics major, and minor! Looking forward to ministering AND recruiting at Cedarville! :) ... Last night, stayed with Janet Pumphrey (left). She and her husband (recently deceased) were good friends at Dallas Seminary, and for the last 50 years! We were thrilled to meet her good friend, Crystal! Pray for Crystal and us as we consider collaberation in some areas of ministry! :)
