🌎 Happy World Environment Day! 🌱
While today is a special day to celebrate our planet, at KTMG Heritage Farms, caring for the environment is part of everything we do—every single day.
We are committed to regenerative farming practices that improve soil health, support biodiversity, and help build a more sustainable future:
🌿 Minimize Soil Disturbance – We practice no-till and low-till farming to protect beneficial soil organisms, preserve fungal networks, and reduce carbon release.
🌱 Maintain Living Roots – By keeping living roots in the soil year-round through cover crops and perennial plants, we continuously nourish the soil ecosystem.
🌾 Maximize Diversity – Crop rotation and mixed forage plantings help naturally reduce pests and diseases while enhancing soil fertility.
🐄 Integrate Livestock - Our poultry and pigs graze on our pastures rotationally. As a result, their manure naturally fertilizes the land while preventing overgrazing and promoting healthy pasture growth.
🍂 Keep Soil Covered – Cover crops and mulch help prevent erosion, conserve moisture, and regulate soil temperatures.
Healthy soil is the foundation of healthy food, healthy ecosystems, and healthy communities. Today, and every day, we're proud to be stewards of the land and committed to farming in harmony with nature.
