🐑🐂🚜 **KIMBLELAND FARM VISITS HOWARD SHEEP & CATTLE FARM!** 🚜🐂🐑

Another incredible learning experience in Oklahoma! I had the opportunity to visit **Howard Sheep & Cattle Farm** and see firsthand how a working livestock operation manages sheep, cattle, land, and infrastructure.

This visit was about **REAL FARMING**—not just what looks good in pictures, but the everyday decisions that make an operation work.

We discussed and observed practical approaches to **grazing, livestock nutrition, fencing, biosecurity, predator control, herd management, hay utilization, land improvement, and overall farm efficiency.**

One thing that really stood out was the mindset of making every resource on the farm serve a purpose. Whether it’s using livestock to manage vegetation or using hay for erosion control and establishing grass, there’s always an opportunity to work smarter with the land and resources God has provided.

Between the 2026 National Goat Conference and these farm visits, my vision for **Kimbleland Farm** continues to expand beyond just raising animals. I’m thinking more about building a complete and sustainable livestock operation where the **animals, land, infrastructure, genetics, and business all work together.**

🐐 Goats.
🐑 Sheep.
🐂 And maybe cattle in the future… 👀

Every operation I visit gives me another piece of knowledge to bring back to Georgia and put into action.

Thank you to the Howard family for opening up your farm, sharing your knowledge, and allowing us to learn from your operation.

**Never stop learning. Never stop building. Never limit the vision God has given you.** 🙏🏾🌱🚜

🐐🚜 KIMBLELAND FARM VISITS PFEIFFER FARMS! 🚜🐐

Another great stop during my Oklahoma trip! I had the opportunity to visit Pfeiffer Farms and get a firsthand look at their livestock operation.

One of the greatest benefits of traveling and attending the 2026 National Goat Conference has been getting outside of the classroom and seeing how other producers actually operate their farms.

There is something powerful about walking another farmer’s property, seeing their livestock, studying their setup, and having conversations about what works—and what they’ve learned along the way.

Every farm operates differently, but there is always something you can bring back home and apply to your own operation.

For Kimbleland Farm, these visits are about more than taking pictures. I’m studying genetics, breeding, nutrition, herd management, infrastructure, grazing practices, marketing, and profitability while building relationships with producers who have years of experience.

The goal isn’t to copy another operation. The goal is to LEARN, ADAPT, and IMPROVE what we’re building in Georgia.

Thank you to the Pfeiffer Farms family for opening up your operation and allowing us to learn from what you’ve built. Experiences like this continue to expand my vision for the future of Kimbleland Farm.

The conference may be over, but the education continues! 🐐🌱🚜

🐂🚜 KIMBLELAND FARM VISITS EXPRESS RANCHES! 🚜🐂

While in Oklahoma for the 2026 National Goat Conference, I had the opportunity to visit Express Ranches, and what an experience!

Seeing a large-scale cattle operation firsthand gave me an entirely different perspective on livestock production, genetics, breeding, herd management, infrastructure, and the business behind the cattle industry.

I came to Oklahoma focused primarily on GOATS 🐐… but I’m heading back to Georgia thinking a little differently about CATTLE! 🐂👀

One thing this trip has taught me is to never limit your vision. Sometimes God puts you in places and around people that expose you to something you weren’t necessarily looking for.

Visiting Express Ranches gave me another opportunity to observe, ask questions, learn, and think about what the future could look like for Kimbleland Farm.

Does this mean cattle are coming to Kimbleland Farm tomorrow? Not quite! 😂 But I’m definitely interested in learning more about the cattle industry, genetics, breeding, and how cattle could potentially complement our existing livestock operation.

Every farm visit, conversation, and connection is another opportunity to grow.

We’re taking the knowledge back to Georgia and putting it to work!

🐐🌱 2026 NATIONAL GOAT CONFERENCE — WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!

I had the honor of representing Kimbleland Farm at the 2026 National Goat Conference at Langston University in Oklahoma. I’m returning to Georgia with more than notes. I’m bringing home new knowledge, relationships, resources, and an expanded vision for our farm.

First, I thank God for this opportunity. I truly believe many of the people I met were God-orchestrated connections. I connected with farmers, ranchers, researchers, university professionals, and agricultural leaders from across the country.

The knowledge shared was priceless! We covered goat health and parasite prevention, genetics and AI, nutrition, rotational grazing, silvopasture, heat stress, USDA processing, biosecurity, predator control, and—most importantly—how to build a profitable goat operation.

One of my biggest takeaways: raising goats and running a profitable goat business are two different things. We must know our numbers, improve genetics, track animal performance, manage our land efficiently, understand our markets, and make intentional business decisions.

The conference also expanded my vision beyond goats. After conversations with experienced producers, I now have a growing interest in the cattle industry and may explore how cattle could fit into Kimbleland Farm’s future.

I also learned the importance of partnerships. Universities, USDA programs, grants, cost-share opportunities, researchers, and fellow producers can all play a role in helping farms grow.

Now it’s time to bring this knowledge back to Georgia and PUT IT TO WORK!

Thank you to everyone who shared knowledge, exchanged ideas, opened doors, and built relationships with me. And thank you to Langston University and everyone who made NGC26 possible.

I arrived looking for knowledge. I’m leaving with knowledge, relationships, opportunities, and a bigger vision.

Now the real work begins! 🙏🏾🐐🚜🌱

🐑 EXCITING NEWS FROM KIMBLELAND FARM! 🐑

We’re excited to share another milestone with our community! Kimbleland Farm has welcomed 8 new Katahdin sheep to the farm, increasing our flock from 10 to 18 sheep!

Katahdin sheep are an excellent fit for our farm. They are a hair sheep breed, meaning they naturally shed their winter coats and generally do not require shearing like traditional wool breeds. Katahdins are also known for being hardy, adaptable, good foragers, and excellent mothers. The breed is valued for its ability to perform well in pasture-based farming systems and is also known for having greater parasite resistance than many traditional sheep breeds.

🌱 Natural Care & Rotational Grazing

At Kimbleland Farm, we believe good livestock management starts with allowing animals to live and graze as naturally as possible. Our sheep have access to pasture, loose minerals and appropriate nutritional supplements, along with fresh water and attentive daily care.

We also practice rotational grazing, moving our animals between grazing areas instead of continuously grazing the same pasture. This approach gives our pastures time to recover, encourages healthier forage, helps us manage grazing pressure, and supports the overall health of both our animals and our land.

Growing from 10 to 18 sheep is another exciting step in the continued growth of Kimbleland Farm. We’re looking forward to watching our new Katahdins settle in and become part of the family.

Thank you to our community for continuing to follow and support our journey. There is much more to come!
