I hatch chickens every month I can to provide my snake with some nutrition. My family benefits because I always have an extra birds to give away. I have my flock for laying and adding to xtra birds means I have a couple extra beaks to feed. I can get a little out of control, so giving them away keeps me in check lol.

Benefits of planting plugs in the fall are:

-Better Root system when spring comes around
-More foliage for photosynthesis
-Less competition with weeds
-Watering slows because of cooler weather
-Harvest earlier
-Harvest more
-Bigger fruit

Try it out if you don’t believe me. I’ve used this method from Florida to Nc and it hasn’t failed me yet. I should mention that you need to be in a zone where they can grow as perennials and not annuals. Strawberries can survive a hard freeze, but I couldn’t tell you about sustained freezes. Any questions you want to ask, I’m always here to respond. I warn you though, that one question can turn into an hour long conversation quick lol.

Using two different methods, direct sowing and transplanting, we are conducting an experiment with mustard greens this year. 💚

I know transplanting shocks all plants, but it causes stress to some more than others. Take beans and peas for example that hate being bothered, now on the other hand things like onions could care less and might benefit from a couple moves. 💚

In my opinion each plant has to be tested in your environment to find out who likes what. I don’t try to test everything at once and overwhelm myself, so this is going to be a multi season experiment. 💚

Had to add an extra row for onions to the fall section of my garden. I thought I mapped it out right, but I was blessed with an abundance of strawberry runners and needed more space to house them. I’m not tripping though, it gave me something to do.
