First, I want to apologize to everyone I haven't been able to get back to since the post I made on my birthday. ❤️
This has been hard on me.
I knew from the beginning everything happens for a reason, but I'm human. There was anger, hurt, doubt, and mostly the fear of not knowing what was next.
But after some serious thinking, searching, and talking with our Father, I know we're going in the direction we're supposed to go. 🙏
Back in 2023, people kept telling Willie, "You need to make extra ribs!" "We want to buy some!" "You need a food truck!"
Willie was excited but skeptical. Me? I finally looked at it as, if we can do this and it gives Willie more time with his dad, let's do it.
We knew the first few years would be tough. We'd work too many hours, probably not pay ourselves, make mistakes, lose some money, learn, and keep pushing.
Our first location was exactly where we needed to be to get started. When it was time to move, another door opened.
Then we landed here.
And this place became home.
I truly believe He put us here for a reason. Smoke 'N' Willie grew, but something even more important happened.
People got to know our hearts.
We're not just known for BBQ anymore.
If you need a hug, a shoulder, a few words of encouragement, or your family needs a little help, we're going to do everything we can. And yes, sometimes I'm also the one who's going to set you straight when you need it. 😂❤️
Maybe He's simply saying, "They know your heart here. Now it's time to reach a few more."
So yes, we're moving.
But we're not looking for just another restaurant.
We're looking for Smoke 'N' Willie's HOME.
And I have BIG plans for that home.
I want room to do more for our community. I want to do more for our kiddos, because they are our future. I want a place where somebody who's had a rough day can walk in, sit down, talk, get a hug, or simply know they're not alone.
I want people to know, you have somewhere to go.
We've spent the last couple of years putting together events, helping where we can, bringing people together, and watching some pretty amazing things happen.
I don't believe we're supposed to stop.
I believe we're supposed to do MORE.
So while leaving this location hurts, I'm starting to understand that maybe this isn't something being taken away.
Maybe we're being pushed toward what we've been working toward all along.
And don't worry — we're not going far. We'll still try our best to keep Greenland smelling like BBQ. 😂
To every one of you who has supported us, prayed for us, eaten with us, volunteered with us, shared our posts, attended our events, or simply walked through our doors:
We love you. You aren't just customers. You've become family and friends.
You helped turn some extra ribs into something neither of us could have imagined.
Now we're trusting Him with the next chapter.
We don't know exactly what every page looks like yet...
but we know Who's writing it. 🙏❤️
Wherever Smoke 'N' Willie calls home next, our mission stays the same:
Come Hungry. Leave Family.
Serving Faith, Family & Freedom — One Plate at a Time. ❤️🌻🇺🇸
I don't think this is the end of something.
I think we're just getting started.
