🔥 Cherokee Strip Cook-Off — 40 Years and Still a Blast! 🔥
The 40th Annual Cherokee Strip Cook-Off is in the books, and once again, we had an absolute blast! I started coming to this competition 8 years ago, and I wouldn’t miss it for anything. The ladies always treat us right, and it’s all for such a great cause. ❤️
We had a few entries this weekend, and here’s how we finished:
🏆 Saturday’s Main Competition
🍗 Chicken — 7th Place
🥩 Ribs — 4th Place
🐖 Pork — 24th Place 🤷‍♂️
🥩 Brisket — 9th Place
😎 Now for the FUN Stuff!
🔥 Anything Butt — 1st Place
➡️ Mom’s Meatballs came through!
🍰 Dessert — 5th Place
🫘 Beans — 6th Place
And for the record… I have no idea how my world-famous beans only got 6th! 😂🫘 I’m pretty sure those beans deserved to be higher!

What a warm weekend in Lubbock, Texas, at the Red RaiderMeats BBQ & Ribeye Championship! We had a fairly decent showing and are proud to come away with 22nd Overall.

What a great (and HOT!) weekend at the Dodge City Days Smokin' Saddles BBQ Competition! The competition was tough, but we're thankful to come home with some great calls.

🏆 Chicken – 6th Place
🏆 Ribs – 13th Place
🥈 Pork – 2nd Place with a perfect 180.00
🥇 Brisket – 1st Place
