🌱 The farm is growing something special for your dinner table.

Case Dighero and Rafael Rios recently joined our farmers out at the Apple Seeds Teaching Farm to walk the rows and see what fresh, seasonal produce will be ready for An Evening at the Farm. What they found in the garden will help inspire the menu for this special night.

Now that you’ve heard about the event, it’s time to make your plans. Tickets will sell out, so don’t wait to reserve your seat.

Join us October 10 for an unforgettable evening of farm-fresh food, talented chefs, and community! 🌿🍽️

Beat the heat with a sweet summer treat! 🍓☀️ Our Beet the Heat Popsicles are the perfect way to cool down during these final days of summer or a great after school treat.

Pro tip: Taste your berries first—if they need a little extra sweetness, add a drizzle of honey! 🍯

A delicious evening of French-inspired cooking and Arkansas hospitality. 🍽️

We were thrilled to welcome Jill McDonald and Wendy Schay from Little Rock and their restaurant, The Croissanterie, for our August Kitchen Table Dinner sponsored by Happy Egg celebrating the flavors and traditions of French cuisine.

From Late Summer Shakshuka with stewed tomatoes, sweet peppers, basil, braised eggs, and roasted okra to Lebnah & Feta Stuffed Shish*tos with mixed greens, herbs, and pickled melon relish, the menu celebrated late-summer ingredients with a French touch.

The main course, Oeufs Muerette, featured red wine-poached eggs, Arkansas rice grits, roast beef tenderloin, Driftwood Farms mushrooms, bacon lardon, and red wine sauce.

We finished with Pavlova layered with lemon curd, fresh berries, coulis, and croissant.

🌱 Exciting things are growing in Central Arkansas!

We’re thrilled to share the progress at our new farm site at Pinnacle Mountain State Park as we get ready to welcome kids to the farm this fall! 🚜

Over the past several weeks, we’ve cleared weeds, shaped and raised beds, installed irrigation, and enriched the soil with organic fertilizer. And now, our first crops are officially in the ground! Special shout out to our friends at 5 acre farm who let us borrow their tractor to help us get started!🫜🍅

With 11 beds planted with tomatoes, okra, summer squash, radishes, and kale, the farm is quickly coming to life.

We can’t wait for kids to get their hands in the soil this fall—to experience the joy of growing, harvesting, and tasting fresh food for themselves. 💚

👩‍🌾 Farm volunteers are needed at Apple Seeds 🌱

With the school year starting and the fall harvest right around the corner we need volunteers on the farm! Enjoy the peaceful setting of our Teaching Farm while helping with planting, weeding, composting, mulching, and garden maintenance.

You can also be part of the team that harvests, washes, and packs hundreds of pounds of fresh produce each week for our school and community partners. Shifts are typically 3–4 hours and usually take place in the mornings.

No experience needed, just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty. It’s a place for everyone of all ages to get involved!

Ready to make an impact? Join us on the farm! 🌿💚 https://appleseedsnwa.org/volunteer
