She hid her nest in a boat! Omg! It was fun trying to find her and her babies by just listening for them quacking yet in a place I would have never thought of! Now she’s with them closed up in a tractor until the babies find their new homes.

Good thing it’s tiny!

The saddleback caterpillar is a rare visitor to Michigan, featuring a bright green center patch, brown ends, and venomous stinging spines. While common in the southern and eastern United States, its northern range occasionally clips into parts of the Midwest.
