Thanks to everyone that made it out this weekend, it was great to see familiar faces! We will remain closed for a few years while the new trees mature but we'll plan on being "kinda open" the weekend of next Thanksgiving, just like this year. The pickings are slim, but some of you that came out found something. Merry Christmas!!!

Greetings Christmas Tree fans! As the season approaches I wanted to bring you all up to speed on what's going on at the Farm. As much as we wanted to be open this year, there are just not enough trees for us to justify it. The only ones left are true monster trees, and all of them are flawed in some way.

If you'd like to take a look for yourself, that's okay. I plan on being at the farm the weekend after Thanksgiving on Friday and Saturday. I'll be there from 11-3. Feel free to stop by.

As much as we wanted to see everyone this year, it will likely be a few years before we are a bona fide operational tree farm again. We planted about 1200 trees in the Spring, and will do the same every year until we have trees everywhere again, but it will take some time.

For alternatives to our field, we recommend checking out the Michigan Christmas Tree Association website. They have a list of other choose & cut farms in the area. We hate to send you somewhere else, but we know you will need a tree that we probably don't have.

Hello Christmas Tree fans!!
If anyone has driven by Blue Star Tree Farm lately you've seen a few changes. Quite a few trees were cut down and burned. It probably didn't look pretty if you drove by. Don't worry, this is just prep to plant new trees. As Larry's health deteriorated, the yearly planting fell to the way side. Now there are hardly any trees left, and we need to start fresh. Moving forward we intend to plant a section of the field every year so we won't have interruptions again. It will likely be a few years before the farm has trees like it did in past seasons, but it will. In a few weeks, hopefully, we will have about 1500 new seedlings in the ground. So please stay tuned, and don't worry, we aren't going anywhere!

Well, it was a short season, but it was a great season! Thank you so much for all of your support. It was great to see everyone. It’s pretty thin out there and it’s time to replant. Please keep an eye on the IG and FB to see what’s happening next season! We still have some huge trees :) From everyone at Blue Star Tree Farm, have a wonderful holiday and a fantastic 2025!

She’s a beut!! Saugatuck’s tree in the gazebo looks amazing!! We have some left just like it at the field. This weekend is it for the 2024 season, we’ll be there from 9-4 Sat and Sun. See you there!

This Saturday and Sunday 12/7-12/8 will be the last weekend of the 2024 season! We hope to see you at the farm! Bring some boots, it’s likely to be a little bit wet out there. After you find your tree, warm up in the barn at the stove and have a cookie & a cup of hot chocolate. We’ll be there from 9-4.

Here’s what will be hidden in trees tomorrow, Sunday, 12/1. They are all handmade in Artisan Annie’s workshop way up north. We are here today until 4, the Michigan game will be in the TV, reception permitting (fingers crossed). Go Blue!!
