Hi! Emily here (market media/vendor coordinator) - I just wanted to show you this delicious plate of 100% locally sourced and barcode-free food I just whipped up for dinner 🤩 Pastured bone-in/skin-on chicken thighs from Red Lantern Ranch (my FAVORITE cut of chicken) and green beans + spinach from Sower's Harvest Farm!
I rubbed the chicken with kosher salt, pepper, and an “all purpose” Egyptian seasoning (that’s what they called it!) that I brought home with me from Cairo last year. Then I slathered on some Primal Kitchen buffalo sauce AND teriyaki sauce, chili crisp, and baked it uncovered in the oven at 450° for about an hour (did you know that dark meat needs to reach a higher internal temp for optimum juiciness and flavor? Cook this cut to 170°-180° 👌) I wilted the spinach in a little coconut oil on high and squeezed fresh lemon juice on top, steamed the green beans and melted grassfed butter and salt on top.
We are absolutely blessed with an abundance of clean, nutrient-dense and locally-grown food in our community. You can find all of these on our shelves or at our partner farms’ farmstands. We are open Monday through Saturday 9:00-6:00. Eat local!
