We’re excited to formally introduce our Farmstead Fontal!

Not to be confused with Fontina, this is a buttery, rich, and mild cheese. It’s younger and less pungent than its Italian cousins and distinctly different from our traditional Fontina, which is aged over 6 months. Pure melt-worthy magic.

Farmstead Fontal is an ideal cooking cheese because that is truly where it shines. Built for melting, it’s now featured at in their seasonal grilled cheese!

Grand Central Bakery is a leading pioneer in the artisan bakery world & we couldn’t be more honored to be featured. We both share a deep commitment to traditional methods and a belief that the Pacific Northwest has so much to offer when it comes to local regional food systems.

We recommend trying it melted into their Sourdough Pan Loaf or Sour Rye Pan Loaf for a true taste of the Northwest

We get asked about our Original Scamorza all the time and while we may be biased, it is one of our most awarded cheeses at Ferndale Farmstead.

Delicate, buttery, and rooted in Italian tradition, it melts beautifully and brings a rich, clean finish to any dish.

Great for snacking, even better for cooking. Pizza, pasta, baked dishes… this is where it shines.

Each one is individually made, cut, and hand packed. A true labor of love ❤️

So many words to say, and somehow we still can’t quite find the right ones to fully express them.

Thank you to every single person who came by booth #1459 at . We brought that PNW magic. Be ready… we’re about to spam you these next few days.

Your artistry and the care you bring to your craft remind me why I believe food should be simple. It has the power to bring people from all walks of life together.

When I started this journey at 19 in cheesemaking, I questioned everything. My talent, my place, that feeling of imposter syndrome. But moments like this make me pause and take it all in.

A special thanks to Meech, Katie, & my rock Nidia I could not have been more blown away with what you all created in the planning and logistics of Pizza Expo 2026.

It’s a lot of emotions that both Nidia and I are feeling. This journey can be lonely at times, especially growing into it from our early 20s to now, chasing this cheese dream. So truely, thank you all. You don’t know what each interaction meant to me at Pizza Expo 2026.

Wow. As we gear up for Pizza Expo, we’ve been taking a moment to really sit in the gratitude we feel right now.

Next week marks our third year making the trip to Las Vegas for the ! When Daniel first signed us up, we had no idea what we were stepping into. We just had a vision, a deep belief in what we were building, and the willingness to go for it. Our ferndale farmstead team is a small team but we dream big around here.

That first year felt like jumping in without a map. A true “welp… here we go” moment. Our friend Tam was just getting started building .tam.pizza & came along for the ride with us and somehow year after year that leap has turned into something bigger than we could have imagined.

What started with sharing a few ingredients at our table booth that we all personally loved has grown into real partnerships, real friendships, and true collaborations. We are first and foremost farmers who really care about good food and the land we hope to leave better.

And as Daniel our cheesemaker & founder has said, “If we take care of the land and each other, the food will take care of itself.” It’s a simple belief, but it’s guided everything we’ve built.

This journey has never just been about cheese or pizza. It’s about showing up for our region, for our community, and for the craft we care so deeply about!

We are so excited for all the new pizza friends & new memories this Pizza Expo will bring! Make sure you make a stop at booth #1459 ❤️🫡

We only entered one cheese this year and we’re pretty stoked it landed in 3rd place at the World Championship Cheese Contest. Even more humbling to place in the top three for a second time in a row.

We were up against some serious competition and this time around was no different. Our Smoked Provolone podiumed alongside industry heavyweight companies with massive production and global distribution. To stand alongside producers of that scale as a mid sized artisan farmstead operation makes this recognition even more meaningful.

We don’t make special batches for competitions and we don’t pull special selections. We work with what we have on hand. For us, the most rewarding part is knowing we can pick from any batch and stand proudly behind the artisan cheeses we make.

We’re incredibly honored to represent artisan cheesemakers and the craftsmanship coming out of Washington!
