I was curious, would there be an interest if I started offering ‘cheese making kits’ and

IN-HOME private cheese making classes,

where I travel to your house and teach you how to make cheese in your own kitchen?

Tasting the well drained and aged an extra 2 days chevre.

Yum! It’s good!

(I’d experiment with aging longer, but I need the container for my feta!)

So Excited!

My cheese cultures are coming in this week, and my new Kefir grains!

I can’t wait to start making.. kefir yogurt, feta and, chevre!

Once the cheese fridge is up and running, I’ll then be making all the good hard cheeses, Cheddar, Gouda, etc etc etc.

Our family will be supplied in amazing homemade cheeses, and I can’t wait to get started!

With our powerhouse milk goat giving us a gallon a day, I can start on cheeses every 3 days if I’d like!

Hello all! It’s been an interesting past couple years.

I sold off most of my herd, and moved for awhile to Monterey/Carmel area and worked at Carmel Valley Ranch making artisanal cheeses and learning under the Cheesemaster Charlie Cascio.

I ended up meeting the love of my life, and moved to Nevada!

I am now in the process of figuring out Nevada dairy laws, and seeing if there’s any way I can make and sell artisanal cheese products.

Currently I am making cheeses for just my family, and am considering offering Cheese making classes to fellow Goat milkers in the area!

I’ll be posting my cheese making and other dairy adventures here. 🙂

I am also working on a business venture with my husband, Herlickson Homestead. We have been making goats milk soaps, collecting quail eggs and gathering tomatoes to sell.

Our goat herd currently consists of my La Mancha goat Truffle and my new Oberhalsi goat Freya. We plan to have Truffle bred in the fall, for spring babies!

Stay tuned, more fun stuff is on the way. 🙂

Cute wether and buck herd nap time.
