We provide evidence-based equine psychotherapy and animal-assisted interventions supporting children, at-risk youth, first responders, veterans, and families navigating trauma and mental health challenges. JT Ranch MISSION

Our values include; Acceptance, Achievement, Community, Horse Partnership, Dog Partnership, Inclusion, Opportunities, Personalization, Quality, Respect, Safety, as part of the healing therapy. They teach us about trust, responsibility and cooperation. They encourage us to become stronger and more confident. Their intuitive nature gives us comfort, and helps us heal and relax. They also bring smiles to everyone they meet. For someone with anxiety or a physical disability, we see their strength and confidence grow as they spend time with animals. For someone who has lost a loved one, an animal can provide peace and comfort. For a survivor of trauma, an animal can teach them “to be in the moment”. Animals teach us how to build relationships and set boundaries. They help improve self-awareness and much more. It are these experiences that forever impact the lives of those we help.

Reins of Hope at JT Ranch is at Out of Town Park today til 12:40-1pm. We’re supporting City of Fernley Animal Control here at the Check the Chip Day (Microchip event)! 🐶✨

Stop by the Out of Town Park with your dog TODAY. Check out some vendors, grab some goodies, and join in on the fun!

CoF Animal Control event goes til 4pm.
Microchipping & Chip Checking: Get your pet chipped or check an existing chip!
Cost: $15 per pet OR a 10lb donation of unopened dog food.

As wildfires continue to impact communities in Northern Nevada, at Reins of Hope at JT Ranch we’re grateful for the firefighters, first responders and volunteers working tirelessly to protect lives, homes, and neighborhoods.

This afternoon, we delivered snacks and water donated to support first responders in our community and beyond. It’s a small way to show our appreciation and help those who are on the front lines. Special thanks to Bombard Renewable Energy (Tom Moxley)and our friends, Dan and Deb Wanderscheid and Kathie Reisinger for their generous donations in support of North Lyon Fire North Lyon Firefighters Local 4547 - Fernley, our hometown heroes!

We are connecting with our local Reins of Hope at JT Ranch. Aaron and I will be Bartending that night and all tips will be going directly to the ranch.

Goats have a remarkable way of sensing the emotions of the people around them. Their natural curiosity, gentle presence, and ability to connect without judgment make them wonderful partners in a therapeutic setting.

At Reins of Hope at JT Ranch, we’ve seen firsthand how these incredible animals offer comfort, encourage laughter, and help people feel safe enough to simply be themselves. Whether they’re quietly standing beside someone who needs a moment of peace or playfully inviting a smile, goats remind us that healing often begins with connection.

Sometimes the best therapy doesn’t come in words—it comes with four hooves, a soft nuzzle, and an open heart. 💚🐐
