Dehydrating purple clover, echinacea, and a few other foraged goodies. I had no idea it would take so much echinacea to make so little. 2 FULL trays of overlapping leaves made less than 1/4 c of dry leaf. The petals shrink into nearly nothing. I’m going to continue to harvest and preserve for the remainder of the season!
Fortunately the purple clover produces more bulk after it’s dried.
Looking forward to teas and tinctures!

Chopped clover & grasses, add water, a cup of molasses, stir well, cover and let ferment for 1-2weeks. Strain remaining solids and add to your compost, then dilute the “tea” 1:10 ratio of tea to water.

Just a few things happening on the homestead. Things are slow because of health issues, but by the grace of God this year will be fruitful.
