🍻 BACK ON TAP: NEW BELGIUM TAPROOM TAKES ANOTHER STEP FORWARD
Nearly five months after permit activity first suggested New Belgium could reopen the former Ballast Point taproom in Daleville, a recent job posting provided the strongest evidence yet that those plans are moving forward.
New Belgium recently advertised a full-time Hospitality Supervisor position for its Daleville brewery. Although the listing is no longer active, the responsibilities it described were unusually specific.
According to the listing, the supervisor will help oversee the site’s tasting room, events and tours. Responsibilities include opening and closing the tasting room, hiring and scheduling staff, managing b**r and point-of-sale inventory, and coordinating events, tours, food trucks and other vendors.
In other words, this is no longer just a permit pointing toward a possible taproom. New Belgium has actively recruited someone to help operate it.
The reference to food trucks is also notable. Unlike the former Ballast Point operation, which included an on-site restaurant, the listing makes no mention of an in-house kitchen or food service. That suggests the new taproom may instead rely on visiting food trucks, although New Belgium has not formally announced the concept or its opening timeline.
The Daleville brewery originally opened under Ballast Point in 2017, but its taproom and restaurant closed in 2019. New Belgium acquired the 259,000-square-foot production facility in 2023.
💬 Would you be excited to see this space reopen? And how do you feel about food trucks replacing the former restaurant? 👇
