Hello friends, check out these sweet Holiday Wreaths we are making and selling from the forests of our home. Full of balsam fir with cedar, red and white pine to add variety and scents. We get to wander the forests collecting the greens and make each one by hand in our workshop. We also harvested a bumper crop of Wild Rice this year that we are excited to share with folks who want a taste of northern Minnesota. THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING SEASON! We are so honored to have been your farmers this summer. The deepest thank you to David and Lise for giving us the chance of a lifetime to test our farming chops. We will not be continuing on here at River River Farm next season, as other opportunities have arisen that need to be pursued. Emily will be opening a storefront in Duluth for her other business, the . Kyle will be using his GI Bill to attend school for a trade. However, with these changes we have made the promise to ourselves and our community that WE WILL FARM AGAIN. We must - the soil has deeply stained our hands and our hearts. Find us when we pick up farming again as Agate Acres.

This summer has been incredibly empowering and humbling. We are completely grateful and honored to have had the amazing opportunity to farm this incredible price of land that Lise and David have poured their time, hearts, and souls into. It truly is a magical place. ✨💚🌱☀️

Melons, folks. We grew melons! Unfortunately, not enough for the market or CSA, but as an experiment to see if it could be done here is chilly, short seasoned Finland. IT CAN! 😊😊

I’ve added a new favorite farm task to my list: new onion harvesting. These beauties are such a joy to harvest after watching them grow since March 1. They clean up so nicely, to a pearly finish. My other fav farm tasks are tomato pruning and garlic cleaning.
