An announcement for 2025.

Hello from the St. Vrain Christmas Walk Committee!

2025 would be the 10th year for the St. Vrain Christmas Walk. The event has steadily
gained momentum throughout the years; and 2024 saw the most homes decorated and thousands of people in attendance. Thanks to all for your participation.

The Christmas Walk is a volunteer effort set up by a half dozen families who build the tunnels, decorate the pathway, host Santa, serve refreshments, and coordinate the dancers, choral groups, etc. This is coupled with the cooperation of most of the residents along the walking path in St. Vrain Ranch decorating their backyards. This event is not funded by the HOA or any other organization.

Unfortunately, we have encountered many challenges and the event is not sustainable as it is. We lost key members due to their moving from the area, plus changes in participating residences over the year. The trimmings and signage are worn and the squirrels have wreaked havoc on the lighting, chewing the light strings as quickly as we can hang them. The event has gotten large enough that the costs of maintaining insurance, obtaining permits, and paying for things such as street closures, hot chocolate, cider and supplies is much more than a few sponsors and out of pocket donations can sustain.

As a result, we are calling a hiatus for the Christmas Walk for 2025 to replenish ourselves, our volunteer organization and the supplies and finances required to carry on. We encourage the residents to continue to trim their back yards as we expect that many will still walk the pathway.

We would like to again, thank -fil-A Longmont for providing the cups to allow us to serve you a delicious and hot cup of Cocoa or Cider. Without them, your gloves would become wet and sticky.

This Friday and Saturday is our opening weekend for this year. The Christmas Walk committee hopes you enjoy the walk.

This year for the safety of everyone enjoying the Christmas Walk. St. Vrain Ranch Blvd will be closed to traffic.
It will be closed at the intersection of Sable and St. Vrain Ranch Blvd and at Shenandoah and St. Vrain Ranch Blvd.
Please enter the neighborhood by Devonshire from the west and Shenandoah from the east. Both Saddleback and Sage Ave’s can be accessed from either of these two streets.
Exiting the neighborhood can be done to the North from Sage Ave using St. Vrain Blvd and exiting the neighborhood to the South can be done from Saddleback Ave using St. Vrain Blvd.
The only area closed both directions will be the area between Saddleback and Sage Ave’s.
There is plenty of parking on Shenandoah as not houses are addressed from the east of St. Vrain Ranch Blvd.
There is also parking at Harney Park as well.
Please use the map as a reference.
