Which type of Grandma baker are you?

My Grandma Gower baked by the recipe. I have some of her cookbooks and cherished handwritten recipes. She was known for her cobblers, pies & sugar cookies.

My Grandma Stites baked without recipes. She knew how much to mix in by the way it looked. She had the recipes down by heart. The only recipe in her handwriting that I have is her peanut butter balls. On holidays her back freezer was always covered with chocolate pies, coconut cream pies and more.

I feel like I’m more by the recipe- but am learning to follow my heart as I experiment.

I know you have one…that recipe you lost & can’t seem to find anywhere! Not in your recipe box, not in your cookbooks, and the online versions just aren’t quite the same.

Summer Berry Trifle was always my son Jack’s favorite warm weather treat when he was growing up. Last year I decided to make this sweet treat. But I couldn’t find the recipe ANYWHERE!!

Well guess what I randomly found the other day…the recipe! Stuck down in my basket of recipes on a folded up piece of paper. Yessss!! Happy day!
