Big Guns BBQ competes on the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) circuit. Deploying from their home base in the beautiful Hudson Valley the Big Guns team has competed in more than fifteen states. Award winning Pit Master Sean Keever is the driving force of Big Guns BBQ. Having discovered a love for BBQ while serving as a United States Army Field Artilleryman, the Big Guns team is dedicated to comp

eting at the highest levels of competitive cooking and upholding the proud tradition of the Redlegs, the US Army and veterans everywhere. When not competing on the KCBS trail, Big Guns concentrates on supporting our nation’s service members and veterans at numerous events. The biggest of these is the annual Quad State Herf & Cigar-B-Q held each year at The United States Military Academy, West Point, NY., raising funds and awareness for various charities including Wings For Warriors and Hudson Valley Honor Flight.

Fantastic meal last night at Serevan to celebrate twenty one years of being married to my best friend.

This unique restaurant offers Hudson Valley farm to table fare inspired and infused with Armenian Mediterranean flavors into a wonderful combination of fresh seasonal delicacies.
We started off with grilled eggplant and hummus along with a falafel platter that is head and shoulders above any I have had before. The falafel were light and airy and cooked to perfection. For our entrees, the light flaky rainbow trout and lamb chops were both spectacular.
I apologize for no dessert pics, but after the Armenian coffee that will make your espresso seems like watered down gas station swill, I was off and running and ate before the camera. Sorry, I know camera eats first! The in house baklava and Armenian coffe cake, we’re delicious!
While inarguably off the beaten path, tucked into the eastern edge of Hudson Valley, Chef Serge Madikians’ Serevan is a destination worthy spot not to be missed.
