At Double K Breeding, we believe a program should stand behind what it produces.

That’s why any Double K bred foal (no matter the age) comes with discounted training opportunities through our program. We don’t just breed horses and send them down the road. We stay invested in their future and in the people who believe in our program enough to own one.

Our goal has always been to produce quality-minded horses with the ability, mindset, and foundation to succeed in and out of the show pen. Offering discounted training is our way of proving we believe in what we raise and helping give each horse the best chance to reach its potential.

Anyone can breed horses. We want to build horses we’re proud to put our name behind.

16 yr old Gelding

Newt is a great all around prospect however he has mainly competed in barrels. He is a consistent runner no matter the pattern size. He is a 2D/3D type at every race. We do recommend an experienced rider for him or a very handy youth. He is safe and sane but he is a strong horse that loves to work.

Newt was a reining started so he has some fancy buttons and knows how to use them, he has a good whoa, spin, and picks up/changes both leads. Newt has been roped off of, moved cows, and trail rides. He can sit and is the same horse every time!

However, Newt does have a couple little quirks, but most great horses do!

By a grandson of Peptoboonsmal (NCHA LTE $180K+ and producer of $25M+), and tracing back to legendary names like Peppy San Badger, Doc’s Lynx, and Doc Bar.

Boon has been in reining training for about 2 yrs now, he has only been to roughly 3 shows and he is already a veteran. Boon is as consistent as they come in the show pen. He knows when it’s time to work, puts his head down and is ready to go!

Boon has all the maneuvers and continues to get more and more confident with each ride. He would also make a great Ranch riding prospect with his movement and looks.

Boon is definition of been there done that. He has been roped off of, drug tarps, trail rides like a champ. Not much bothers this golden boy.

Boon covers roughly 8-10 mares a year during breeding season, all AI no live cover. He has been panel tested and color tested and you’ll love both! With the right person and advertisement he could cover a whole lot more as his career continues! We have had a couple of his babies in training now and they are almost identical to him with their movement, mind, and talent.

We would love to keep him in the barn and continue his training and coaching his new rider but we have access to ship all across the country as well!

WHAT A SHOW!!

We had a great time at the 2026 Arizona Reining Horse Association Mother’s Day Slide. Our horses and our riders showed up to play and we were not messing around!

ALPHA FANCY CHIC owned by A1 PERFORMANCE HORSES added just shy of $1700 to her LTE!

1st in the Intermediate Open and the Limited Open
2nd in the Level 1 4yr old stakes Derby
3rd in the Rookie Pro and the Level 1 Non Pro Stakes
5th in the Level 1 Open Derby
Top 10 in the level 2 4yr old stakes and the Open

CAT SAN BOON owned by Renee Jean had a hard couple classes with lots of competition however, he still marked a new high score for him!!

Jason Lab did amazing with Alpha Fancy Chic in all his classes especially the Non Pro 4yr old stakes derby! They are making leaps and bounds and we are so excited to watch and be a part of their progress!

We could not do this without all of the love and support from all of our partners, friends, family, and of course these amazing equine athletes!

We are looking forward to the next show and couldn’t be more excited to get everyone in the show pen!!

We are all settled in here at the Mothers Day Slide in Scottsdale!

The horses schooled really well yesterday and are ready to hit the show pen today!
