With the Monsoon rains starting to pick up, we are so excited for our rain catch we are putting into place. Yesterday alone I was able to water the garden off rain catch! 165 gals of water is what we can start with, and diverted to a pond! Here is hoping!

The garden has been a rough go, I had to restart seeds 4 times, and they aren't alot to talk about! So 2 weeks ago I threw some seeds down in old flower beds, figured it couldn't hurt.
The following week we had one more freeze, killing off 20%. But not those seeds! They are doing better than everything else.

We might only be having squash and beans this year!

One of these things is not like the other one!

When we got the baby ducks, we picked up four RIR for meat birds, we only have 1 left (hawk got them), and I had to put that 1 baby chick with something, so it was the ducks, and now Nugget thinks she is a duck, and the baby ducks think she is a duck. She, in the past week, has convinced the adult ducks that she is a duck now!

Those sneaky ducks!

I've been finding duck eggs up in the nesting boxes, and couldn't figure out why, the ducks are on the struggle bus getting into the pool, we didn't think they could do twice that height. But I caught them!

We expanded the coop, it now has a duck nest, pool, nesting boxes, New perches, and a turkey nest, while still giving everyone more room!! We separated an area for the broody ladies to do their thing, hopefully they will adjust well with out interrupting and breaking the broody.

Got a sourdough starter and made bread!! And cheese Crackers!!!

And FINALLY after the 4th try at planting seeds they didnt blow away, we have sprouts growing!! It will be a short season, but the 2nd windiest season in recorded history kick our butts.

Lessons learned for next spring! And what to work on this fall! Like an actual greenhouse that will stand up to the wind!
