Our newest little chicken nuggets are a week old today. Did you know that chicks have to be kept at a specific temperature based on their ages? This is our first attempt at winter babies, but all 42 are doing great! In 6 months they will be laying eggs and heading to fair! The kids all love naming the babies but we welcome fun suggestions!

Christmas decorations are up and your pumpkin pies are made... but you don't know what to do with your left over pumpkins... we will take them. The girls love them! And the little ones are perfect for our silkie girls. 🥰

Today was barn clean out day! The kids scooped p**p, spread the manure and put down fresh bedding in preparation for winter. The chickens love a clean barn and digging through the fresh straw. And happy girls mean more delicious fresh eggs! 😋

Introducing your newest small business owners:

Molly: the math wiz... she's a great egg counter and we have lots of eggs to count. Her favorite chicken is Marshmallow the white silkie
Avery: the administrator. She keeps everyone on track and is great at supervision.
Kameron: the driver. He's in charge of anything with wheels, moving straw, feed, or eggs.
Evan: the chicken catcher. They run from everyone but him, they just sit and let him catch them.
Sam: the OG. Calls them all his girls, gives them names like Wanda, Brenda and Regina, and makes sure they feel all the love.

These 5 little besties are the proprietors of MAKES eggs and would love to sell you some pasture raised eggs, from some chickens they have raised from babies. These happy chickens get all the time outside they want and get daily snacks and love, which in turn means that you are going to get some tastey eggs. They are not washed, so they are shelf stable. You also never know what you will get a giant double yolker or a pretty blue shell, so it's a surprise in every carton.

While the kids are great at doing chores, cleaning the barn, and counting the eggs they are not old enough to have a phone, so if you would like some eggs you will have to reach out to the adult secretaries.

$5/dozen. Yes we know that's more than you normally spend on eggs, but less than what walmart is charging for something they advertise as similiar, and with way more health benefits... plus our kids are cute and are trying really hard. ☺️ We do keep track and your 11th dozen is free.
