I love this old cherry tree on our fence row. I have no idea how old it is, but it has seen a lot more years of this farm than I have. Its an odd shape and part of it is dead - but I bet this tree is a home for all sorts of wildlife and a roost for others. Its purpose isn't done yet!

Happy National Dog Day to my best buddy, Marty!💜🐕

He follows me around, wondering what I am up to and when we are next going to go for a ride in the truck to the bank to get treats. 🐾

I collected my dried flowers today - next step is to do some arranging. 🌺

Scoliid wasps might look intimidating, but they're actually friendly pollinators doing important work! These beneficial insects help keep pest populations in check and love hanging out in open areas filled with flowers. Swamp white oaks are perfect for them, providing a home and plenty of nectar. Embrace the beauty of nature and the balance it brings! 🌿🐝

This lovely wood stork is hanging out in Berks County gobbling up crayfish and preening on stumps. Primarily non-migratory birds that don't fly more north than South Carolina - this little one is on a vacation here. My parents and I took a drive out this evening to see it peacefully relaxing on this log. Nature is cool. 💜💙

Also - little is not a description of its size. It is actually quite big!

A couple weeks ago I was out traipsing around the township with Drew and Connie (other members of the EAC) having fun making short video clips. This is our first one to drop.

We had to go spelunking for water because the creeks in our township are sooooo dry!
