Watermelon season is in full swing and we know folks occasionally see cheaper produce on the side of the road out of the back of a pickup truck and we respect the hustle! As an actual business, Granny Smith’s has a few expenses that don’t exactly fit in the bed of a pickup truck. 😅

We have things like:
✅ Insurance
✅ Power Bill
✅ Internet
✅ Rent/property expenses
✅ Equipment & maintenance
✅ Packaging & supplies
✅ Permits, fees, and taxes
✅ Payroll — we pay our staff well above minimum wage
✅ Cleaning supplies
✅ Card processing fees
✅ Spoiled produce loss

The list goes on.... So while we may not always be the cheapest around, we work hard to provide quality produce, friendly service, and a dependable market our community can count on. We truly appreciate everyone who chooses to shop local and support Granny Smith’s Farmers Market. Every Watermelon, Tomato, Peach, and Jar of Jam helps keep our little market going. Join us on Saturday, July 18th, 2026 at 12:00 PM for our 2nd annual FREE school supplies drive for local students. First come - First Served! 📍 6136 Leroy Coffer Hwy Fleming

Student(s) must be present to receive supplies. We are guaranteeing supplies for 100 students, but we would love the help of community sponsors so we can provide supplies for even more children.

The rough cost is about $10 per student or $100 per 10 students. If you or your business would like to sponsor and help us bless more local families, please message us!
