🐝✨ The honeycomb from the swarmed colony was placed right in front of their new hive. We watched as worker bees carefully nurtured the capped cells and then, right before our eyes, a young bee emerged from the comb! 🐝💛 and more came after that!!

What an incredible sight to witness - the beginning of a new life and a new colony finding its way home.

Fly, little bees, and do what you do best. Build, nurture, pollinate, and keep doing your amazing work. 🌼🍯🐝

In late summer, bee swarms are a natural part of a healthy colony’s life cycle. As the hive becomes overcrowded, the old queen leaves with thousands of worker bees to search for a new place to call home.

Last month, we rescued a swarm that had settled on our friend’s property. We’re happy to share that they’ve now found their safe haven with us, where they’ll begin building their new home. 🐝🍯

Swarming may look alarming, but it’s actually nature’s way of creating a new colony and helping honey bees thrive.
