Here are a few photos of Vermont life that I hope you enjoy from this year of beekeeping. Many are plants that bees collect nectar and pollen throughout the year. And a few pictures are of wildlife and the streams they collect water from.
It is recommened to beekeepers to put an electric fence around the hives. The bears can smell the honey from miles away and will destroy hives very quickly when they have the opportunity.
The picture of the mason jars full of honey shows you how different in color it can arrange from. The dark is knotweed honey. In a smaller jar it looks red. And the taste is very different than the light honey. If you get the chance to taste test honey please do.
Enjoy, Sara
