Mr. Foster has set our little Eva up with her own egg business. She started caring for her chicks and ducklings in February of 2019 and raised them in her miniature orchard, pond and barn (with some help from Mr. and Mrs. Foster). They are now healthy, happy hens and ducks that lay eggs in all sorts of colors - light brown, dark brown, blue-green, speckled chicken eggs and white duck eggs. They roam free inside the orchard, pond and barn area, and will be let into the garden when it is finished producing for the year. Her videos show how much she cares for her lovely chickens and ducks.
The eggs are priced at $4/dozen for chicken eggs and $6 per dozen for duck eggs. ONE DOLLAR of every dozen goes to Marion County Community Services, a local non-profit, towards the Marion County Community Center project. Eva hopes to swim, play sports, maybe take a dance or art lesson in the Community Center one day soon!!
