Effective Monday, August 21, 2023, Leonardo Moreno was promoted to 2nd shift Shift Manager. When Leonardo was hired, his role was to be the Lead and was Lead in several different departments. He was promoted to 2nd shift Supervisor on August 2, 2021.
Since moving to 2nd shift, Leonardo has demonstrated his ability to run multiple departments with limited support which has led to this promotion.

We are happy to announce Laketria “Kiki” Hemphill is being promoted to Shipping Manager in Florence, AL effective October 31, 2022. Kiki started with Gemstone Foods in January of 2018 in the Quality Assurance department as a QA Technician. She left Gemstone in 2020 and went to Pilgrims, to pursue her goal to grow as a leader, in a Production Supervisor role. Kiki returned as a Production Supervisor in the Debone/Cone Line department here at Gemstone Foods in June of 2021. Since returning to Gemstone Foods in 2021, Kiki has continued to take on more and more responsibility and with her new role as Shipping Manager she has shown she is ready for her next step. We are excited for her and believe she will thrive.

Kiki enjoys being a mom, Sundays with her family, her faith and going to watch her son play football.

We are excited to announce the addition of Adam Green, IT Systems Administrator to our Gemstone Foods Team. Adam officially stepped into his role on Tuesday, 9/6/2022. Adam brings over 20 years of experience in the Information Systems (IT) and we believe will be a great addition to our team. Adam, we are so happy you have decided to take on this role with Gemstone.
Adam started his career in IT in 2004 at EMCO Technologies in Huntsville, AL. He has worked in various industries in the IT field. His last position was as Ally Communications Systems here in Florence, AL
Adam calls the Shoals his home. He has moved a few times but has always returned to his roots here in the Shoals and currently resides in Florence, AL. He loves kayaking, going to the mountains and spending time with his family. He is an Auburn Fan (War Eagle!)

We are happy to announce Cortez Madden has recently been promoted to Maintenance Supervisor for 1st shift effective August 15, 2022. Cortez started with Gemstone Foods on June 2, 2020. He started his career here in Maintenance as a Maintenance Tech and was promoted to Maintenance Lead in May of 2022 Since starting with Gemstone, Cortez has continued to take on more and more responsibility and with his role as Maintenance Lead he has shown he was prepared to step into a management role.

Cortez enjoys drag racing at Molten Speedway, mudding and trail rides. He goes to car shows and loves working on his cars including mods.
